Florianópolis is the capital city of Santa Catarina State in southern Brazil. It is comprised of one main island, the Island of Santa Catarina and its beaches, waves, parties and surfers are famous around the world. This amazing island has everything!

This is a unique opportunity to learn to surf, while staying beachfront in luxury accommodation with all your meals included and all your needs taken care of by our professional staff. For advanced surfers this the ultimate base on the island for your surfing adventures with the local surf guides.

Praia Mole beach and the Praia Mole Park Hotel are both used by the WQS (World Qualifying Series) touring professionals each year for the annual contest: the beach, waves and set-up is world-class.

So take some time out of your hectic schedule and fly down to Florianópolis. You will be picked up at the airport and whisked off to the hotel - from then, you'll be doing it in style!

Florianópolis has so much to offer besides surfing. When you're tired of the surf (unlikely!) there are loads of great things to do such as paragliding, sand boarding, horse riding and kayaking plus lagoon and city tours. For those who like to party, look no further than Florianópolis! The locals certainly know how to party. There are several great clubs with Cafe Cancun being the most famous.

Like any place, it can be a dangerous if you are in the wrong place at the wrong time. Our guides in Florianópolis will make sure you are safe and always in the right spot at the right time. Allow our local guides with their years of experience show you what Florianópolis is all about!

Barra da Lagoa is a traditional and fishing community in Florianópolis, and forms the social heart of the island.

THE WAVES

CAMPECHE BEACH

Campeche is a classic beach break set up, rated word-class. It has a channel running out beside the point which is great for the paddle back out. This wave can often get perfect and above 5 ft it is very powerful. The beach itself is one of the most beautiful in the area.

GALHETA BEACH

Galheta is only about 5 minutes walk from Mole Beach. Galheta is a must-see! Walk around the big headland through a track amidst the huge Atlantic forest vegetation and a green corridor to paradise. Secluded and uncrowded waves, a regional classic - don't miss it!

JOAQUINA BEACH

Joaquina, sweetly known as Joaca, is one of the most famous beaches in
Brazil because of its waves of international level perfect tubes.

Joaca staged one of the biggest surf championships of 80s and 90s, when the sport really started to gain respect in the country. Joaca is fondly remembered from a golden era, when the big surf festivals took place, such as 'Rock, Surf & Brotos'.

In 2003, Joaca was back on the world scene of surfing, hosting a WCT event for the first time in the south of Brazil.

MORRO DAS PEDRAS

Heading south of Florianópolis, Morro das Pedras beach is visited by the best surfers from all of the island. Its constant and powerful waves are ideal for practicing in a competitive, yet at the same time, friendly environment.

Undoubtedly, Morro das Pedras is one of the best beaches for testing your skills and making friends with experienced surfers.

MOLE BEACH

It is on Mole beach that the beautiful people of Florianópolis gather. A great place to get to know people, to meet friends and, undoubtedly, to see some of the most beautiful women in Brazil! Mole is also the beach for sports. Throughout the whole year surfing, bodyboarding, tow-in, kite surfing, windsurfing, beach tennis and, in the slopes of the hills around them, paragliding and climbing are practiced.

Surrounded by green mountains and the sea, Mole is the only access to
a further two beautiful untouched beaches. Galheta, separated by a big coast with silhouette of an indian laying down, and Gravatá with its own waves, beach and scene.

Much can be said about Mole Beach, but it is better that you come and take a look for yourself and really begin to understand why the Brazilian people love it so much!

AÇORES BEACH

Usually perfect for beginners, Açores Beach is often visited by families
and teenagers, and is a really pleasant environment.

Açores is a beach break and when the swell is big the place barrels hard!

MOÇAMBIQUE BEACH

At more than ten kilometres long, Mocambique, or Mocamba beach is a real wave factory.

Usually the crowd is small here, and besides the excellent waves, it is reasonably distant from the large beach crowds elsewhere on the island.
